Scoping providers
By default, an availability plan with several providers treats them all the same way — same hours, same rules. Two independent mechanisms narrow that down.
Plan-level scoping
Every availability plan has its own list of providers. Only providers on that list can:
- use the plan to generate slots for the services it offers;
- be selected as a routing candidate — see Assigning appointments to providers;
- see and manage the plan themselves, when providers can manage their own plans.
A provider not listed on a plan simply doesn't participate in it. Use several smaller plans, each scoped to its own sub-team, when different groups of providers need different schedules under otherwise similar rules.
Google Calendar scoping
Google accounts and calendars add a second, independent scoping layer on top of plan membership — a personal account tied to one provider, or a team account whose individual calendars can optionally be narrowed to a sub-team. See Provider and sub-team scoping for the full behavior, including how the two layers combine.
Restricting services per provider
Scoping decides whether a plan applies to a provider; it doesn't decide whether a provider offers a service at all. Use each provider's Restrict services setting — see Roles and the provider list — to limit a provider to specific services regardless of plan membership.
