Update TheBooking

An active subscription enables one-click updates from the WordPress Plugins screen.

Before updating

1. Back up the WordPress database and plugin files.
2. Confirm the site meets WordPress 6.3 and PHP 8.1 requirements.
3. Review release notes and custom integration usage.
4. Test the update on staging when the site processes production bookings.

Supported automatic upgrades

Version 3.x installations run versioned database migrations on first load after the plugin version changes.

Installations older than 3.0 are detected but their data is not imported or modified automatically. Contact support for an assisted migration assessment.

After updating

1. Open TheBooking and allow the migration to complete.
2. Review the version information and license status.
3. Inspect availability slots, payment readiness, and integration connections.
4. Complete a test booking, reschedule it, and verify notifications.
