Migrating translations from WPML

TheBooking 4 uses its own translation catalogue for service names, descriptions, booking-form fields, and customer email content.

During a supported upgrade, existing TheBooking package translations are imported from WPML once. The WPML tables are left unchanged, but TheBooking no longer reads or writes those translation records at runtime.

WPML or Polylang can still provide:

• the site default language;
• the active language list;
• the visitor locale.

After upgrading:

1. Enable translations under Settings > Business Model > General.
2. Review imported values in each service, form field, and customer notification.
3. Save corrections in the TheBooking translation editor.

The old external string editor and the previous update action are not part of the current workflow.
